Cast a line across the 60ft-wide Big Thompson River as you wave at family and friends barbecuing on the 34ft.-wide deck. Then later stroll little Rock Canyon Road with your honey and listen to the rapids.
And if snow skiing is your fancy, avoid the dangerous I-70 Corridor driving hassle, where you must cross the Continental Divide in wintry conditions. Instead, travel south from Estes Park along the Peak-to-Peak Scenic Highway 25 miles to El Dora Ski Area. It's just as pretty, far less-traveled, and much safer a drive.

East of Estes sleeps five comfortably with the sounds of the river nearby. A queen bed awaits you in the master bedroom overlooking the deck and river, while a bunk bed (consisting of a full-size with twin on top) are in the loft. A large shower with tiled bench is in the 1st floor bath, along with a washer and dryer. And for the convenience of the three loft sleepers, there's a half-bath up there, too -- talk about a view from the throne -- Goodness!

In the kitchen, the sink and counter face the Great Room's booth and large-screen TV, and of course, all the towering Ponderosa pines in all the windows that surround every room of the cabin. And speaking of windows, there's also a "Dairy Queen" window in the kitchen for serving your guests on the deck. How convenient is that?
There's even free Wifi and HD-TV with HBO. The cabin is brand new, bright and airy with large windows throughout. And of course, there's the magic of the Big Thompson River.
Sorry, no pets. Even Rocky Mountain National Park does not allow dogs on any of its trails, leashed or not.
No smoking inside cabin, only in designated area outside.
